Evaluating a private-sector initiative to increase technology adoption
‘Clean-energy’ solutions such as rooftop solar technology can increase income and cut energy costs in emerging markets. Given that the vast majority of people without access to modern electricity live in sub-Saharan Africa and Asia, greater adoption of such technologies can significantly accelerate social and economic development. This research studies a private-sector-led initiative focused on after-sales service to increase technology adoption, with the aim of inspiring future leaders to build tech companies and help spearhead development in emerging markets.
