Mithilesh is a former Pre-Doctoral Research Assistant at the Wheeler Institute for Business and Development.
Mithilesh’s research interests revolve around the use of data and technology to improve public health and development outcomes. He is interested in leveraging business innovations for overall socio-economic development. Mithilesh completed his Masters degree in International Development at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

Previously, Mithilesh worked as a UNICEF fellow in Chhattisgarh, India, to train frontline health workers using digital technologies. He has spent a significant amount of time in the field, seeking to better understand the causes and implications of child malnutrition in rural India. In addition to his field experience, Mithilesh worked as a consultant for an Odisha-based philanthropic initiative where he utilised his data analysis skills to communicate actionable insights to key government decision-makers. Furthermore, he has presented his research on child malnutrition at the University of Oxford. Mithilesh also holds an engineering degree, obtaining his MTech at the Centre of Technology Alternatives for Rural Areas at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.
